The Z Book

The letter Z knows he will always have 25 characters in front of him. He's fine with that. But why do we use only the words "Zebra" and "Zoo" to illustrate who he is? There's more to him than that! In fact, there's a whole world of fun and fascinating Z words out there - and to prove it, he writes The Z Book! In The Z Book, the Z is an amusing, plucky, enthusiastic, and sometimes indignant character who is excited to teach children words that start with or include a Z or two. He happily takes us to many parts of the world and shows us architecture, historical places, food, flowers, musical instruments, birth signs, and much more. As an additional educational element, there is a glossary with simple definitions of all the Z words used in the book. The Z Book is different, surprising, lighthearted, and fun to read. I've been a writer all my life. At age six, I wrote little detective novels in my father's memo books. But instead of detective novels, I grew up to enjoy an adventurous international advertising career as an award-winning copywriter and creative director at J. Walter Thompson, New York and Brussels, and Ted Bates Worldwide, New York and Paris. While on maternity leave, I discovered the joy of writing stories for my daughter. That joy never left me. I am now a happy but as yet unpublished author of four children's books, with other book ideas waiting impatiently in the wings. I am currently a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
