About
Aseu Zane and his wife, Ling Shee, emigrated from Puket, Bau On, Kwantung, China, in 1891, and came to Hawaii as workers on a plantation in Kohala, Hawaii. They had twelve children, all born in Kohala. The family moved to Makapala, Kohala, in 1905, where the managed a store, and moved to Honolulu in 1927 where they owned a store. Their son, Kee Fook Zane, was born in 1899. He married Thelma Woo in 1927. They had four children. A prominent business man and banker, he was honored at Chinese father of the year in 1979.
