The Washington Committee, American Friends for Italian Aid, under the distinguished sponsorship of the Italian ambassador and Signora Tarchiani, and the honorable and Mrs. Myron C. Taylor presents "Leading Artists of the Metropolitan Opera," Licia Albanese, soprano, Stella Roman, soprano, Rise Stevens, mezzo-soprano, Salvatore Baccaloni, basso, Kurt Baum, tenor, Robert Merrill, baritone, Dick Marzollo, at the piano, for whose generous contribution we express the heartfelt thanks of the children of Italy who have been orphaned, mutilated, and tossed about by war and to the rebuilding of whose lives this occasion is dedicated.
