Slavno županstvo v Koprivi

The monograph consists of two units: the critical issue of documents from the archives of the former local municipality of Kopriva in the Karst with the accompanying study of the Karst quarries and stones. The first part publishes municipal archives since mid 19th century, when the municipality was founded, until the beginning of the First World War. It became part of the political and administrative-legal system of the Austrian Littoral and is covered by legal regulations governing different areas of the municipalities. Numerous documents from a wide range of areas of municipal competence are listed in a lively transcript, while others are summarized. The second part contains new discoveries about the municipal quarry and local stones, with the emphasis on the castle limestone. Finally, there are tables on Koprivian families, mayors, priests, teachers, feminine names and more, and a dictionary of ancient and dialectical terms.
