About
This novel, set in Texas, is a powerful story of contrasts and oppositions of place and of people. It is the story of an up-and-coming small town in East Texas, and it is a story of the barren, windblown fields of West Texas. It tells of a tumultuous and destructive marriage and of the eldest son of that marriage torn between mother and father and their conflictiing values, life styles, obsessions and lovers.
