De Compiègne à Pierrefonds

This book uses image and text to trace the story of Compiegne from ancient times until the second reconstruction, through its sights and monuments. This work offers iconography derived from archives and collections of the library of St. Cornelius, the museum Antoine Vivenel of Compiegne and the National Library. This book sheds light on public places and spaces with the comparison of maps, plans, drawings and restoration of ancient landscapes with original watercolors by the author, accompanied by texts synthesis. It is a book on the evolution of the urban history of Compiegne.
