About
Teddy Hobday is the editor of the Bay Bugle. He had had a great career, but the thrill of the job is waning. A touch of discontent and restlessness seems to be creeping in - and what is he doing lusting after the busty librarian when he has been happily married to Kathy for nearly 30 years. John Kaspers is the chief reporter. He's tough, cynical and unscrupulous. He's the man for the hard news, the sensationalist front page leads, and he's very ambitious - he wants Teddy's job. Jeff Hagan is the deputy chief reporter. He is conscientous and honest, and loves his job. But is he too kind and sympathetic to make to the top in the hard world of hard news?. With Hobday thinking increasingly of retirement, Kaspers seems almost certain to get his wish. But then the coverage of what should have been a straightforward reader-titillating event, a nudist group's anniversary celebration, goes spectacularly wrong and has a profound effect on the lives and careers of all three journalists!
