The Army Art Collection has over 10,000 pieces of art which, taken together, provide a wide-ranging visual record of the activities of the U.S. Army, with a clear emphasis on the human dimension of a soldier's life, both in peacetime and in war. Portrait of an Army is a representative selection of work from that collection.
