About
With critical texts and a large selection of images and technical information, this book comprises the architectural production of the last 15 years of architects Fanucci (Brazil 1952) and Ferraz (Brazil 1956), as partners in the acclaimed Brasil Arquitetura Studio, based in São Paulo. The first monographic book on the work of the firm was published fifteen years ago (São Paulo, Cosac Naify, 2005), this new book brings some completed works, previously presented in project or under construction - cases of the Sede do Instituto Socioambiental na Amazônia (Social and Environmental Institute's Office in the Amazon) and the Rodin Museum in Salvador, which ended and passed the test of use and appropriation. Other buildings were designed and built after the edition of the first book - Bread Museum in Ilópolis, Teatro Engenho Central de Piracicaba, Villa Isabela in Finland, Ateliê Girassol and Praça das Artes in São Paulo, Cais do Sertão in Recife, Pampa Museum and Brick Museum in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, Jaguarão Market, Lima;s Art Museum (MALI)Rio Verde Farm in Conceição do Rio Verde , Museum of Labor and Worker in São Bernardo do Campo, Sesc Registro, some houses in various cities and projects not yet carried out. As a whole they constitute a work of extreme importance in the general context of Brazilian 21st century architectural production.
