Le jubile d'argent (1992-2017) de la paroisse Saint-Marie-Madeline de Dekanme

This book is about the anniversary of the founding of the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene de Dekanme, Ouidah, Togo. This booklet retraces some significant aspects of the evangelization of Dekanme on Lake Aheme, Togo. This work is communal because the origin of the evangelization of Dekanme was under the leadership of kings and dignitaries, a common and political will to welcome the Gospel of Christ settled in the area since April 18, 1861. Besides the safeguarding of customs and the voodoo belief of the native populations, Christianity triumphed over the customs and beliefs that shadowed the incidents between the Christian and animist priests.
