경술국치 이후 변모한 전라도의 행정구역 체제를 반영하여 민간에서 새로 편찬한 도지道誌이다. 조선시대의 구제舊制인 60군郡에 따라 주州ㆍ부府ㆍ군郡ㆍ현縣으로 분류하여 내용을 정리하고, 1910년 이후 신제新制 32군郡을 명시하고 있다. 김용순金容珣ㆍ오학근吳學根ㆍ이경의李京儀 등의 서문이 있다. 권수의 인용서목에 의하면 『대전회통大典會通』ㆍ『문헌비고文獻備考』 등을 참고하고 있다.
