This is a story of a much loved Jack Russell Terrier by thename of ‘Cassie’, owned by the author. She lived formany years at the Police House at Thaxted in Essex wherethe author was the ‘Village Bobby’. She was known andloved by many in the community.She regularly accompanied the author on his patrols andwas involved in all manner of incidents and adventures. Thestory is what happens through her eyes; Cassie is telling thestory. All the events and incidents that she describes are truebut some names have been changed.All the photographs in this book are the work of theauthor, often with Cassie’s assistance and participation.She was a little dog with a big heart of gold, and awonderful friend; the best friend a man could ever have orwant.
