About
The wasp genus Eucerceris was erected by E. T. Cresson in 1865. In 1939 Scullen published his first extensive paper on this genus. A second paper with a revised key to the known species was published later describing additional species. Since Scullen's previous publications appeared, he studied types in this country and in the museums of Europe, as well as securing additional material and information through his own field work and that of other workers in the field.
