Kchodl is a guest teacher at elementary and middle schools and libraries throughout the state, where he gives over 50 seminars to schools in Michigan every year. He is an avid collector of fossils, with a specialty in trilobites. Kchodl has published several articles in the Mid American Paleontology Society Digest. This is his first book. He lives in Midland, Michigan.
