The Crusades, Christianity, and Islam

The Crusades were penitential war-pilgrimages fought in the Levant and the eastern Mediterranean, as well as in North Africa, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, the Balkans, the Baltic region, and Western Europe.
