Movimiento Petrushaus

A book-object of the Petrushaus Movement that compiles a series of unique typographic posters. The Movimiento Petrushaus (MP) owes its name to the time that the artist Ale Giorgga spent in 2012 in a house in Villa Ballester, a city near Buenos Aires, where today the bulk of his posters are located, and whose owner was called Petrus. In German, "haus" means house. The MP is the link between art and the street and took presence when the artist connected with colleagues from all over the world, which allowed it not only to have national but global relevance, under a premise of universality, until reaching cities (considered a type of urban art and present in Barcelona, New York, Berlin, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Granada, Madrid and Malaga), where free and restless creation, collective work, genuine interest in creating networks between artists and an irrefutable combative spirit were developed. The black typography, on tropical colors, typical of the posters of the popular festival "bailanta", interact with modern slogans. Melisa Boratyn is a curator, editor, and writer who specializes in visual arts. In 2016, she co-founded Ronda Editorial.
