Genetische modificatie wordt normaal en er komen nieuwe plantensoorten uit het lab. We eten meer 'biologisch' food en er komen nieuwe vormen van recycling en bioraffinage. We krijgen gepersonaliseerd voedsel en meer functional foods. Vreugdeloos nutritionisme groeit maar lekkerbekken gaan in de tegenaanval.
