About
Claude Barr Kennedy (1869-1963) descended from a pioneer grandfather, Stephen Kennedy, who migrated to Texas from Mississippi in the early days of the Republic of Texas. Claude was married to Liddie Luana Evans, with whom he raised a large family of thirteen children while working in the sawmill industry of the Piney Woods of East Texas. Mr. Claude's children have passed on the word-of-mouth history that he related to them about himself and his ancestors.
