In most texts that deal with him Abaddon is amongst the most feared of the supernatural beings - having both angels, demons and corporeal beings fearing his very name. Abaddon is also more akin to a force of nature than a living being, as is evident by the fact his name can also refer to a portion of Hell where sinners are said to be surrounded by snow and fire. al-Masih ad-Dajjal (translated as "False Messiah") is the Islamic equivelant to the Antichrist and may be viewed as an alter-ego of the infamous being, al-Masih ad-Dajjal's main goal is to deceive humanity into seeing him as the messiah and thus cause evil to spread across the world.
