Top Gears fans all over the world rejoiced as Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May returned to our screens with The Grand Tour earlier this year. THE GRAND TOUR GUIDE TO THE WORLD is part travel companion, part factually dubious encyclopaedia and part scrapbook of a travelling circus, all told through the juvenile, egotistical yet undeniably amusing voices of our three favorite petrolheads.Inspired by the presenters' travels in the course of making the program, the book includes behind-the-scenes photos captioned by Clarkson, Hammond, and May, not-entirely-serious guides to many of the countries visited during the show, and tongue-in-cheek hints for travellers such as how best to pass through an airport, how to pack for varied climates and how to make yourself understood in different parts of the world. For petrolheads, the book boasts plenty of car-based features with a global theme, including a look at the world's coolest police cars, a Top Trumps fight between the planet's fastest supercars, a look a different nations' attempts to create a true car of the people, and a run-down of different driving customs from around the world. THE GRAND TOUR GUIDE TO THE WORLD will also contain behind-the-scenes trivia from the making of the TV show, the presenters' personal picks of their favorite places in the world for car-based "cocking about", and a spoof guide to the noms de plume that Clarkson, Hammond, and May use when checking into hotels.
