The year is 2122, now the market for drugs and scientific research rule the United States. Despite the growth of the industry, healthcare remains to be unaffordable for the average family. It is very common to find research facilities within miles of towns in every state. The once popular research facility DDRI (The Dedicated Disease Research Institute) is struggling to compete with other facilities. The institute is located just outside the town of Bracen, where the towns resources is being held to pitiful standards because of it. Scientists Scalis Thompson and Ryan Harbrook share a common goal through pain and suffering to solve human abnormalities for mankind. As members of the DDRI, they are sworn to abide by professional ethics of research. However, unorthodox methods cause unforeseen consequences upon limited funding and restrictions. The pressure to stay relevant has become too much to bear. Thanks to help of a wanted super soldier named Brian Ostelson, the scientists are able to acquire what they need to move forward. Teenagers Jason and Amanda find themselves in the middle of the scientists' dangerous experiment. Already dealing with their own personal life issues, this event causes their moral compass to become distorted. The teenagers start displaying strange abilities that incite fear, panic, and chaos in society. A strange new danger is formed from the experiment creating unlikely alliances. Jason and Amanda are willing to do almost anything to return to their normal lives. On the horizon an even bigger threat arrives, something catastrophic.
