About
Tim Green hoped that this book would be pleasantly nostalgic for his contemporaries and provide the younger residents of Wilderness Road with a little more background to add to their experience. He sets out a brief record of how and why this small island of tranquility, so close to the heart of the old village, evolved and developed. Necessarily superficial and insufficient in scholarship, it finds its well-intentioned, uncertain way from the distant world of Queen Victoria and her personal interest in Camden Place, to the global village pressures of today.
