About
The book is divided into two parts, the first being an introduction in which the author studies the name "Psalms", the arrangement of the Psalms, their use, their cultic character, their several types, their origin and authorship, and finally their collection into the "Psaltery", presumably in postexilic times. The second part of the book comprises an exegetical study of the 150 Psalms. This exegesis, at once historical, literary and theological, presents the author's own conclusions, which sometimes coincide with and sometimes differ from the conclusions of other scholars.
