About
"Fragmented" is a new play by Suzanne Ingelbrecht about Ivan Radivec, a former Croatian war veteran who has become a refugee. As soon as he arrives in Australia flashbacks of the trauma that he has undergone and the huge loss of family, friends and possessions becomes impossible for him to deal with. He is taken to a hospital and with the help of the staff starts to work through his problems. Radicevic's fragmented memory starts re-forming under the care of his psychiatric doctor, Jim Hall, but the doctor's own private battles threaten to engulf both men. The play poses the question - are fear, power, prejudice and the love of keys to freedom or the walls of a prison?
