Marte Johnslien (1977) exhibits at Lillehammer Art Museum. Through a diversity of artistic methods Johnslien explores aspects of science, religion, politics and history, offering a different view of the world. The exhibition at Lillehammer Art Museum is about contexts - about our connection to materials, history and nature. In preparation to this exhibition, mathematical problems have been a clue. How to translate our worldview of spatial structures? The title "A Square on a Sphere" referes to this paradox - the impossibility of transfering a two dimensional square to a three dimensional ball.
