Gondra, a tenacious and rather nosy Driftwood Dragon becomesenvironmentally-aware, as she embarks on a journey over land and sea,meeting a cast of fantastical creatures along the way. She learns about theuniqueness and beauty of Louisiana, and what the "human-people" can doto help the environment and the local wildlife. She ultimately ends up onHolly Beach, in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, where she meets a saucydragonfly who helps her fulfill the promise she made to a Sea Turtle shebefriended while drifting along in the Gulf of Mexico.
