About
Manuel Pimentel Siles (Sevilla 1961). Ingeniero Agrónomo, Licenciado en Derecho, Diplomado en Alta Dirección de Empresas. Empresario y escritor. Ha sido diputado en el Parlamento de Andalucía, Secretario General de Empleo y Ministro de Trabajo y Asuntos Sociales. Tiene publicada tres novelas, Peña Laja (Planeta 2000), Monteluz (Planeta 2001) y Puerta de Indias (Planeta 2003) y dos ensayos, El Talento (Ariel 2003) y Los Otros Españoles. Los manuscritos de Tombuctú y los andalusíes en el Níger (Martínez Roca 2004). Ha coordinado varios estudios y monografías técnicas, y colabora como articulistas en diversos periódicos y revistas nacionales, como El Periódico de Cataluña, La Clave o Cinco Días. La Yurta es su primer libro de relatos
