The Happy Time

This is an endearing look at the growing-up years of a young boy with a fascinating view of his parents, grandfather, three uncles, aunt and girl cousin. Only the mother is English but adapts well into the early 20th Century French-Canadian society into which she has married. The author chronicles the highs and lows of discovering friend and foe, of discovering adventure alone or with friends.
