Museo

This publication has been edited within the framework of the exhibition Museo, a project by Peruvian photographer Juan Enrique Bedoya in temporary room 2 of the Lima Art Museum - MALI in 2018. This catalog includes a graphic account of the exhibition, accompanied by a portfolio of works and installation views that allow visual reconstruction of the spatial experience of the exhibition. Similarly, the essays commissioned from Irina Podgorny, Ramón Mujica and Sharon Lerner collect diverse and complementary aspects of the work; from a review of the history of the museum with an emphasis on the debates unleashed in Latin America, through a reading of Bedoya's work in light of the ideas of Aby Warburg and his Album Mnemosyne, to a review of the most contemporary edges of the proposal, which enter into dialogue with the history of photography and institutional criticism.
