The fourth edition, Considerably enlarged, and ornamented with Sixteen explanatory Views, engraved from Original Designs.
19th-century roan-backed marbled boards, wanting two terminal leaves (pp. 169-172); sixteen engraved vignettes on five folding plates.
‘Fourth’ edition of this iconic satire on travel liars, with two new chapters including a second lunar voyage, three new plates, and a new preface, dated 12 July 1786, mentioning the slow sale of the first edition and the success of those following, which ‘were purchased within a few days after they were printed’.
