Deuce’s older brother Pepe, who was once known for peddling drugs to his coworkers, successfully rose to the rank of a kingpin. With the assistance of his underboss Teddy, together they become the biggest cocaine dealers on the West Coast. Pepe decided that he wanted the backing of the cartel, as a way to expand his empire. Making that move to do business with the cartel put a wedge between him and Teddy. They abruptly part ways and Pepe is left without the muscle to move the product. Pepe eventually falls into debt with the cartel, and his life quickly spirals out of control.
