About
The text is an invitation to reflect, in a transdisciplinary way, on the importance of preserving nature in a country so beautiful that it does not seem to value its greatness. It is also a moving portrait of people who dedicate their lives to science, art and education. Throughout the texts on the different axes, the descriptions, narrations, experiences and teachings serve as inspiration and encouragement for other teachers, researchers, students and the community to conceive new dreams of relevance to strengthen projects that deal with resilience and landscape conservation related to natural risks, human actions and other relevant issues. In this work, Professors Antonio José Teixeira Guerra, Raphael David dos Santos Filho and Carlos Gonçalves Terra, organizers of the book Art and Science: History and Landscape Resilience, address current and essential themes to our existence from four main axes: i) Geodiversity, Geoconservation and Geotourism; ii) History of Art and Landscape; iii) Environmental Art and Education and iv) Resilience and Landscape Conservation. The text is an invitation to reflect, in a transdisciplinary way, on the importance of preserving nature in a country so beautiful that it does not seem to value its grandeur.
