In the not-too-distant future, women have started dying out due to a mysterious event known as The Fall. Set fifteen years after it began, DARKLIGHT follows a group of self-sufficient women who've made the Northumberland mines their home.

Fearful of daylight and the horrifying humanesque creatures called “Brutes”, Sadie makes a brave choice to hunt during the day to impress her beautiful leader. When she meets a kind and caring Brute, she soon comes to realise that her life underground is built on a web of lies. Unable to ignore her desire for the truth, and the attraction she feels for the Brute, Sadie must decide whether to leave everything she has ever known in search of answers.

DARKLIGHT is the third novella in The Forgotten Women series, which explores the journeys of four young women through the brutal post-apocalyptic world of Tear Me Apart.
