La esclavitud femenina en la Roma Antigua

This study addresses questions about female slaves in ancient Rome: who they were, what their work was, how they contributed to society, and how their experience was reflected in the historiography of their time. It deals with issues of terminology, urban labor, and biological reproduction, and looks at the conceptualization of female slaves as the other from both a postcolonialist and a gender-studies perspective.
