After his two-year-old brother is diagnosed with Leukemia, Jake learns just how precious family is. Over the next two years, Jake's parents try to make life as normal as possible for both of their boys while facing the possibility of losing one of them.
Shortly after receiving good news, Lukas is admitted to the hospital again and they find out his remission was short-lived. The Cancer is back and the only thing that might save him is a bone marrow transplant.
During Luke's hospital stay, Jakob makes a new friend and finds out that she too is fighting the ugly monster.
Jake does the best he can to stay strong for everyone else. His mask is firmly in place until the day his world comes crashing down around him.
