About
This is the first collection in modern English of the twelve principal Confessions of Faith of the Reformed Churches of the sixteenth century, and the Editor's scholarly Introduction shows why it is desirable to fill this gap. Dr Cochrane adds notes on the documents, many of which he has translated. The statements included range from Zwingli's 67 Articles (1523) through the Scots Confession of 1560 to the Second Helvetic Confession of 1566. The Heidelberg Catechism of 1563 and the Barmen Declaration of 1934 are printed in an Appendix.--Jacket
