Presenze ebraiche in Umbria meridionale dal Medioevo all'Età moderna

Il volume contiene gli atti della giornata di studi tenutasi ad Acquasparta e organizzata dall&'Associazione culturale Lynks e dall&'Associazione Italia-Israele di Perugia in collaborazione con l&'Istituto per la storia dell&'Umbria contemporanea e l&'Università di Perugia. I saggi qui raccolti si inseriscono in un ormai consolidato filone di ricerche, quelle, sugli ebrei nell&'Umbria di età medievale e moderna, concentrandosi sulla parte della regione meno studiata, offrono nuove acquisizioni e consentono di ricostruire in modo più circostanziato le declinazioni locali degli aspetti indagati, confermando, quanto possa rivelarsi ricca di informazioni la parte di patrimonio documentario ancora da esplorare. Dall&'insieme emerge la centralità che nella relazione ebraico-cristiana ebbe il territorio inteso come luogo di arrivi e partenze e di scelte residenziali, ma soprattutto come ambito nel quale si realizzarono le interazioni tra i due gruppi. L&'analisi delle pratiche che segnarono l&'inserimento degli ebrei nelle realtà prese in esame permette di delineare gli atteggiamenti della società ospitante ma anche la parte giocata dagli ospiti nel confronto con l&'ambiente circostante. -- The volume contains the papers presented at Acquasparta and organized by the Lynks Cultural Association and the Italy-Israel Association of Perugia in collaboration with the Institute for the History of Contemporary Umbria and the University of Perugia. The essays collected here are part of a well-established search pattern, those of Jews in medieval and modern Umbria, focusing on the less studied part of the region, offering new acquisitions and helping to reconstruct more closely the local declinations of the investigated aspects, confirming how much information can be revealing about the portion of documentary heritage still to be explored. From this, the centrality of the Jewish-Christian relationship has come to be understood as the place of arrivals and departures and of residential choices, but above all as a field in which the interactions between the two groups were realized. The analysis of practices that marked the inclusion of Jews in the realities under examination allows to outline the attitudes of the host society but also the part played by the guests in comparison with the surrounding environment. --
