CAROL, her handsome husband CHRIS and their four children, live in a beautiful house on the outskirts of London. Reflecting on how fortunate she is, with all the comfort and prosperity she enjoys, convinces her, she is living her dream.

Being totally cushioned by a very high standard of living, and her four children, whom she adores, she is unaware that the destructive relationship she has with Chris; is subtly destroying her confidence and self esteem.

Having read many adverts in magazines about cosmetic surgery, and how it increased self confidence, and enhanced lives, convinced her, that improving her appearance would perk up her relationship with Chris.

After discussing her concerns with the surgeon, she becomes overwhelmed by his kind, caring, and charismatic manner. This makes her realise, how distant and detached her husband behaves. After having the surgery and several more appointments, she begins to experience a strong attraction for her surgeon, which completely overwhelms her. To make matters worse, Carol is convinced that he returns her feelings. The situation reaches a climax, with an unimaginable series of events unfolding, and her old way of life is destroyed forever.

What started, as an innocent desire to improve her appearance for her husband, has drastically backfired. She is totally obsessed by the surgeon, and subsequently is convinced, she is losing her mind.

This is the story of a woman's agonising journey, from the depths of despair, with everything she believed in destroyed, and her slow progress through many twists and turns, dead ends, and disappointments. Eventually, experiencing a depth of love and emotions she had never known existed. This leads to a new way of thinking, and a new way of living, as she slowly reaches her potential, in a way she could never have imagined.
