Circus

Circus is a one-act play for three actors, two female and one male and one male walk-on part. It comprises of a simple set and is ideal for youth groups or small performance areas.

A coming of age story about a father rapidly losing his grip on his daughter as she enters adulthood, he tries anything he can to keep her in his control.
Mario is the ringmaster of a circus; he has controlled his daughter, Aspis, from the moment she arrived but when a box is delivered it changes their relationship forever. Mario learns that he once had a box, though this was kept a secret by his mother, Auntie, who never wanted him to leave. Instead she has seen Aspis to be intelligent enough to get her chance to leave the circus and make her way in the world outside.
Mario becomes desperate and tries his best to stop his daughter opening the box and becoming a woman.
