Spooks and Shadows: Upiory i cienie (Polish Edition) (Old Town Torun Series)

The "Old Town Torun Series" is a cycle of novels from the borderline of sensational and detective stories. Every novel is strongly embedded in the realities of the merchant world of the late Middle Ages, buzzing with silver. The most of the characters in these books are authentic people. The Author, however, has coloured them a little and let them speak our modern language. In this way, we can more easily understand that our ages are separated by only six hundred years, and the same human dilemma has always been pursued.
The whole series is arranged in the criminal-sensational chronicle of the Old Town of Torun, presented against the background of the colorful world of the rich and poor people of that time. Reading the novels makes for us easier the fact, that we still can find traces of the described events today, in the beautifully preserved medieval Toruń.

"Cykl toruński" to seria powieści z pogranicza sensacji i kryminału, mocno osadzonych w realiach, brzęczącego srebrem kupieckiego świata późnego średniowiecza. Większość bohaterów tych książek to postacie autentyczne. Autor trochę je jednak ubarwił i pozwolił im mówić językiem nam współczesnym. W ten sposób możemy łatwiej zrozumieć, że nasze epoki dzieli zaledwie sześćset lat, a duszę człowieka zawsze dążyły te same rozterki.
Cała seria układa się w kryminalno – sensacyjną kronikę Starego Miasta Torunia przedstawioną na tle barwnego świata ówczesnych bogaczy i biedaków. Odczytanie powieści ułatwia nam fakt, że ślady opisanych wydarzeń można łatwo dziś odnaleźć w pięknie zachowanym średniowiecznym Toruniu.
