There is trouble in Wonderland. The king is gone and his court overthrown. The kingdom is now under the control of the queen and her ruthless cousin, Elzana Blackheart. All is not the same.
Taking advantage of her cousin’s naivety and insecurities, Blackheart has reshaped the kingdom to fit her own preferences for purity and perfection. Anything not in line with such is considered expendable.
However, the birth of the queen’s daughter, Wonderland's future Queen of Hearts, creates a fissure in the stranglehold Blackheart has over the kingdom. Threatened by the newborn’s existence, with bright red hair and birthmarks, Blackheart orders the queen’s servants to dispose of the baby girl. Underlying opposition to Blackheart’s injustices boils to the surface leading one servant, Marie, to flee the palace with the newborn. Marie’s disappearance and sudden physical changes in the queen leave Blackheart questioning everything.
