Lukas called out for his Mom. His mom came to his room, and as she opened the door, the monster grew smaller and smaller. As soon as she turned on the light, the monster disappeared. “What’s wrong Lukas?” she said.

“There was a big scary monster in my room!” said Lukas.

“Lukas, there are no monsters, “replied his mother.

Lukas’ mom looked around the room. She checked under the bed, behind the toy box, and in the closet. She didn’t even notice the teddy bear near the door.
