When Arcadia opened in 1985 the praise was overwhelming - people were smitten by the sumptuous, inventive food prepared by Anne Rosenzweig and the pastoral atmosphere evoked by Paul Davis's 70-foot-long seasonal mural that wraps around the interior of the restaurant. The accordion-fold book includes Paul Davis's bucolic mural in full, which season by season unfolds a country life of bosks and lakes, of nature in perfect harmony. Arcadia chef and co-owner Anne Rosenzweig has created four seasonal menus, each of them offering that sense of warmth, abundance, and bliss of a time wonderfully arcadian.
