About
The phenomenal true story of the final voyage of the Albatross, a US school ship run by a husband and wife team from Conn (Captain Christopher 'Skipper' Sheldon & Alice Sheldon, MD). Told by two of the surviving students (Geig & Sutton), this coming of age story is a must read for every high school age young man. As an aside, it makes an excellent case for Google digitizing orphan works as I am only aware of the original printing and the only available copies online are "acquired" library copies all of which are going for $125-$300. It's truly a shame that this book is not available to the public. This is also the version of this story which inspired the 1996 movie White Squall, which I also highly recommend.
