About
Cold Hot is a photo book thah visually documents the musicality of the southeastern region of the United States and how it has influences the landscape and habits of the residents of the region. The book comprises a selection of 66 color photographs taken by Sergio Poroger in December of 2014 of ten different American cities (Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, Memphis, Jackson, Clarksdale, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette and Houston) carefully researched for over 18 months and photographed extensively. I set forth and let my hearth loose on the legendary US 61, the route of blues, traveling for more than 3000 kilometers on a frenetic tour over 17 days with the goal of capturing images that show the influence of the varnished styles of music exercise over the region. At every turn, I found a new chord. Jazz, blues, gospels, country and rock.ʺ Page 5.
