About
Sabios y artifices contains a sample of the knowledge that Nahuas had and developed from their interaction with their surroundings from their cultural heritage and from interaction with other Mesoamerican cultures. The authors are three scholars linked to the UAEM: Carlos Alfonso Ledesma Ibarra, Doctor of Art History; Raymundo César Martínez García, Doctor in Mesoamerican Studies, and Susana Poleth Sánchez Ramírez, archeologist and professor of History. The content of the book goes from the knowledge that the ancient Nahuas had and their relationship with zootechnics and veterinary, the manipulation of materials such as stones and ceramics, medicine, engineering, textiles, metallurgy, to the knowledge embodied in codices and pictographs.
