About The Author
Rachel Batan Halbani is a trained behavior analyst who has been working for the last decade with autistic children. She has a degree in regular education and special education, and has had experience with both behavioral and emotional therapy methods. She has worked as a kindergartens teacher in special education kindergartens and at children's homes. She has spent thousands of hours observing and working one-on-one with autistic children.
By working with principles from the ABA and DIR combined with her own extensive experience – she has developed her unique way to communicate successfully with autistic children. She sees past the children difficulties, read their body language and behavior – and understands their needs - without them saying it.
Today she guides and counsels parents who want to understand and communicate better with their child, in personal sessions, lectures, workshops and via Skype. She also counsels the extended family - the grandfather, grandmother, uncles, etc. – anyone who wants to improve his communication with the child.
