Counseling American minorities

Multicultural aspects of psychological services is currently one of the hottest topics in the mental health profession. Counseling American Minorities provides exactly the kind of information that students in training, as well as practitioners, need in order to provide culturally sensitive services. The book provides information about the history and experiences, physical and mental health needs, and treatment preferences of African Americans, American Indians, Asian Americans, and Hispanic Americans and examines how psychological service providers might better provide mental health services to members of each group.
