About
Two short novels by Armando Almánzar Rodríguez (1935), considered one of the principal Dominican short story writers. His work has received many awards including, Premio Nacional de Cuento 1996 and Premio de Cuentos del Concurso de Cuentos de Casa de Teatro. In 2012 he was awarded the Premio Nacional de Literatura recognizing his life's work. His published works include: Limite (1967), Infancia feliz (1977), Selva de agujeros negros para "Chichi La Salsa" (1986), Cuentos en cortometrajes (1994), Marcado por el mar (1995), El elefante y otros relatos extraños (1998), Arquímedes y el jefe y otros cuentos de la Era (1999), Concerto grosso, cuentos (2006), Desconocido en el parque (2007), Vórtice (2009), Thanksgiving Day (2010) y Re-Armando cuentos (2010).
