Divinos señores de El Tajín

The text analyzes the political organization of the totonaca city-State in relation to the Teotihuacan government models of the Altiplano, Gulf cultures and Mayan states. Likewise, the author proposes that the rulers based their power and privileged position on a religious ideology that endorsed them as divine intermediaries. Following this line, Pascual Soto places El Tajín and the area that grew under its influence in the great tradition of Mesoamerican civilizations.
